Calcium Bromide
Premium completion fluid chemical — density up to 14.2 lb/gal. Available in solid (95%) and pre-dissolved liquid (52%) forms for direct field use.
Overview
Calcium bromide is the workhorse high-density completion fluid for oilfield operations requiring densities above the range achievable with calcium chloride alone. As a single salt, CaBr₂ achieves up to 14.2 lb/gal — and when blended with calcium chloride or zinc bromide, densities up to 19.2 lb/gal are routinely produced for high-pressure reservoir work. Five Rivers Materials supplies CaBr₂ in both solid and liquid forms, with hazmat-qualified logistics for the liquid grade.
Solid calcium bromide is the cost-efficient option for buyers with on-site dissolution capacity. Liquid calcium bromide at 52% concentration is ready for direct use — eliminating dissolution time, reducing field labor, and minimizing worker exposure during mixing. We stock both at our Houston, Long Beach, and Dubai hubs, with FCL pricing structured around continuous supply commitments.
